	held in Worcester and in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford

	The study of architectural ceramics
	Decorated paving tiles have attracted considerable scholarly study during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries but their decoration has received less attention. The watercolours of the Parker-Hore collection provides an opportunity to look at the individual designs that made up the magnificent original medieval pavements.

		Some were great circular pavements as that from St Pierre-sur-Dives, northern France, others were square or rectangular.
