Another with a quadrant with lozengy pattern between two plain borders enclosing one leaf of quatrefoil, in which is a hare with hunting horn mounted on a hound, in outside angle a leopard's head (?where from). Probably 15th century. In dog's hind leg where filling is gone the red hollow is glazed (?why) Also in front leg a little red and yellow - slightly slanting sides Irene Hore. Thickness 250 mm. On another tile, a timid hare is exhibited seated astride a hound, blowing a horn, and urging the panting dog forward with small regard to either his pleasure or convenience, whilst a spectator with rolled out tongue laughs at the exhibition (Fig 23). The moral conveyed in this is that, if the strong oppress the weak, a day of retribution may arrive (F. Renaud) p 30. Thickness 190 mm.
